One of the rarest varieties of honey in the world, Zea Gourmet Kunzea Honey is organically harvested from happy bees foraging in the remote and pristine wilderness of North-East Tasmania and Flinders Island.
Here at Zea, we are one of the first in the world to supply this native honey that has been produced from the nectar of the Kunzea ambigua flower.
100% raw, cold-extracted and unfiltered, this premium honey contains the natural benefits of Kunzea.
This remarkable miracle of nature is only ethically harvested once a year in Spring from bees that pollinate the native Kunzea ambigua flower during a short seasonal window. For every five drums of other common native honeys, you can only get one drum of Kunzea - making it very rare. Once we run out, that’s it until next season!
How is a honey classified as a Kunzea Honey?
To determine if a honey can be classified as Kunzea Honey (or Manuka or any variety of honey) it needs to contain at least 80% of that plants pollen. Pollen is counted after the honey is harvested.
Do you stock any other kind of honey?
Yes! We have 3 honeys in our Zea Gourmet range! They are:
